We set daily, monthly and yearly targets for ourselves at home, at work places and at various religious and spiritual centers; we usually have various expectations (genuine and irrational), we make various demands (justified and laughable), we always strive to attain to that certain societal heights (real and elusive). All of these we experience in our day to day living experiences and they affect our health perceptibly.

Needless to say that we succeed in some of our endeavors and fail woefully in grabbing some opportunities in life by acts of omission or commission. Ultimately, what matters at the end is how we are able to adjust our system (body, mind and soul) to accept the β€œreality” and move on unperturbed. This is where holistic medicine comes in, this is where paying premium attention to our mental health really comes in too.

A question for us . Do we want to toe the path of mental derangement filled with anger, sorrow, depression, anxiety etc. over illusional deprivations of perceived needs of life or we want to follow the path of mental, emotional and spiritual clarity exemplified by sense of inner peace and joy that pass all understanding, sense of purpose, hope, faith, optimism etc.? The choice is entirely ours. I can only provide aids to help us achieve the best health that we deserve.

In conditions like these, holistic medicine approach including herbal medicine, nutritional medicine, colour therapy, acupuncture, gemstones therapy, spiritual healing etc would play vital roles. However, in this article we are concentrating on the use of herbs.

The following medicinal plants are safe and can assist iin lessening or resolving emotional/ mental trauma, anger, depression, anxiety, stress, shock, suicidal thoughts, psychic tension and afflictions.

First, from my personal observations and experience as well as from findings arrived at by practitioners of energy medicine, most medicinal plants that work well for those conditions have purple flowers, violet flowers or white flowers.

Plants’ activities are significantly revealed by the colour of their flowers. Plants stamp their uniqueness and the nature of their activities by the colour of their flowers?

The colour violet has very strong penetrating vibration in the physical and ethereal world. Even from the science of colour therapy, we know that violet and white colours among other healing actions they possess can treat mental disorders, anger, nervous disorder, addictions, nightmares, psychic afflictions of all types, suicidal thoughts, depression, troubled mind, fearful thoughts, negative thoughts, shocks, low will power and leaking or porous auric field to mention a few.

Various forms of preparation of these herbs can be employed; they could be as herbal teas, herbal tinctures, herbal capsules, herbal oils and ointments, herbal syrups, herbal soaps, herbal lozenges, herbal decoctions, essential oils etc. Please note that the herbs listed here also address other health issues aside from treating mental, emotional and psychic issues.

Some excellent herbs that I find useful for these include;
