• It is high in mucilage content and this makes it a super demulcent, meaning that the leaf juice has the ability to sooth irritated mucus membrane in the body (such as linings in the stomach and intestines).
• As a deobstruent, it opens clogged, plugged or blocked natural pathways in the body.
.Corchorus olitorius leaves are rich in so many nutrients. They are good sources of minerals like potassium, copper, iron, manganese, calcium and zinc.
Other nutrients (vitamins) include; riboflavin, folic acid, beta-carotene, vitamin E and ascorbic acid.
